Favorite Reads of 2009

There's been lots of "Favorite Books of 2009" lists floating out there in the blog-o-sphere lately, so here's my humble offering, in no particular order:

    As for me, I can't remember all the books I have read last year, but from what I *do* remember my favorites are listed as follows:

    The Farthest Shore by Ursula LeGuin
    The Gospel According to Peanuts by Robert Short
    Mimosa by Amy Carmichael
    The Samurai by Shusaku Endo
